The Peruvian hotel chain Costa del Sol has begun construction of the first of two new hotels that will be part of South America’s First Airport City, located at Lima’s Jorge Chávez International Airport. It is a 5-star Wyndham hotel that will open its doors in early 2025 and will have 249 rooms, a restaurant, a bar, a terrace and several recreational spaces.

As recalled, the Peruvian hotel chain Costa del Sol, after a competitive tender that brought together the interest of investors and developers of large national and international hotel chains, was awarded the Good Pro of the LAP Private Tender for the construction and operation of the two new hotels that will be part of the expansion of the New Airport City.

“The hotel project, which will be located on an area close to 5,000 m2, will have a private investment of approximately 50 million dollars, is financed by Credicorp Capital, and involves design, construction and operation; stages in which it has the support and experience in the development of large regional projects from companies such as Esparq in the design and Cumbra in the construction. This is in addition to the fact that both hotels will have the Leed Silver certification (Leader in Energy Efficiency and Sustainable Design), which guarantees the highest standards of eco-efficiency and sustainability during their construction,” explained Mustafá.

In addition, according to the executive, for the hotel design, the ancestral textiles embodied in the mantles of the Paracas Culture were taken as a reference, achieving a proposal that was complemented by the new design concept inspired by the Peruvian cultural heritage and identity that has been developed in the new airport and is part of the LAP experience for its passengers. users and visitors.

For his part, the general manager of LAP, Juan Jose Salmón, commented on the hotel chain’s commitment to this project and the relevance of this work for the region.

“We are very happy to continue working hand in hand with the Costa del Sol hotel chain now in our new Airport City. I am sure that they will continue to provide a great service as they have done all these years that they have accompanied us at the Jorge Chávez. This investment and its future second hotel will continue to bring more employment, thus enhancing Jorge Chávez as an important economic engine and developing the tourism sector in Peru,” he said.

Finally, as for the second major project that will also be in charge of the hotel chain, Mustafá pointed out that it contemplates the construction and operation of a 3-star Costa del Sol Hotel, to be inaugurated in 2027, and that it will have 338 rooms, restaurant-bar, terrace, meeting room, coworking, children’s area and viewpoint.
