COSTA DEL SOL EXCEEDS ACCOMMODATION SALES BY 8%
In an interview with T News, Sergio Rivas, General Manager of Costa del Sol, revealed that so far this year, the hotels in the Costa del Sol chain have exceeded pre-pandemic figures by 8 percent. “From the pandemic to date, in terms of accommodation sales, this year we are exceeding it by 8 percent,” stated the executive.

RESTAURANT AND BAR SALES AT COSTA DEL SOL GREW 49% VS. 2019
Continuing the conversation with Sergio Rivas, the executive disclosed to T News that, to date, sales in the restaurants and bars of Costa del Sol hotels have grown by 49% compared to the entire year of 2019, excluding food and beverages from events. In this context, Rivas highlighted the strengths of the Páprika brand, a gastronomic proposal present in Costa del Sol’s 11 hotels with a 23-year history. The executive stated that the Costa del Sol chain could be considered a hotel and restaurant offering.
Chain ensures works are on schedule

Sergio Rivas confirmed that the construction of the 5-star hotel at the new Jorge Chávez airport is progressing at an appropriate pace. “We will finish in March 2025 and start operating in April,” he said. The executive also mentioned that they are already working on the seventh floor, expected to be completed by the end of the month. “The first hotel to open will be the 5-star one, and the second is planned to open in approximately two years,” he indicated. Furthermore, Rivas expressed hope that by the time the hotel opens, some access routes to the new airport will have been resolved.
Annual investment of up to 3% of sales
COSTA DEL SOL INVESTS US$1.5 MILLION IN HOTEL RENOVATIONS
Rivas mentioned that every year, the chain invests between 2% and 3% of its sales in maintaining its properties. “We’ve been upgrading TVs, event room equipment, and renovating rooms in Cajamarca. We had plans to add more rooms to some hotels, but given Peru’s economic situation, we’ve decided to wait until next year. However, we are still investing about 1.5 million dollars in necessary renovations,” Rivas told T News.
