Callao Historical Center
- Callao Historical Center
Monumental site of old Callao with a group of streets and squares that captures the architectural style of the end of XIX century and beginning of XX century.
- Real Felipe Army Museum
Portress built by Viceroy Jose Antonio Manso de Velasco´s order in 1746 after the seaquake, with the purpose of avoiding pirates attacks. Its construction took 29 years and it was the keeper of the treasures of the most important port in America, and it was also the headquarters of the first Congress of the Republic, nowadays it is a museum and the head office of the Peruvian Legion Guard.
- Naval Museum
The Callao Naval Museum Capitan Julio Elias Murguia is a Navy Base dependence established on Novemberr 13, 1958. You will find the history of the Peruvian Maritime life since the pre hispanic period until the present time, shown in collections of paintings, documents and relics.
- Submarine Abtao Museum
The second floating museum in South America, it reached port on July 20, 1954 with a total of inmersions of 5003 during the 48 years that it has served the Peruvian government to many foreign and Peruvian people who had been trained on board. This submarine had the slogan “Silents et Audaz” that means “Silent and Brave” finished it duties on March 10, 2000 and became a museum on January 24, 2004.
- Insular Ecology
This area is formed by the San Lorenzo Island, El Fronton Island, Palomino Island, Cavinzas Island, Roca Horadada Island, and a beautiful landscape. People can also practice acuatic sports in the area.
